Montreal Loses J.J. Beene for Season
Sunday, May 9th , 2021
When J.J. Beene was hurt against the Lubbock Stampede, the Montreal Canadiens were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 28-year-old reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Beene would miss 8 months of the season.
Beene's record up to now is 0-and-1 with 1 save and a 4.87 ERA. He has given up 20 hits in 20.1 innings with 16 strikeouts.
