Marshalls Earn Late Win
The Fremont Marshalls faced a tough opponent in Orono pitcher Josh Shropshire, but still scratched out a win at Hedgehogs Ballpark by a final score of 4-3 in 12 innings. Shropshire went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Fremont pitcher Guadalupe Lorenzo got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Ryan Klinck got the loss. The first-place Marshalls, at 85-49, lead the Stripes Conference East Division by 5 games.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Fremont. That's when John Piscitelli, who is tied for 2nd in the StC in doubles with 35, hit a solo home run off Ryan Klinck to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

Piscitelli told a Fremont Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
