Aces Hand Spokane 3-2 Loss
|
Aaron O'Brien, despite pitching well, was dismayed with the outcome: a hard-fought, 3-2 Spokane Selects defeat at the hands of the Quebec Aces at Belmont Park. Donovan Mott earned his 4th save in 6 tries. Today's win puts Quebec at 62-68, while Spokane falls to 70-60.
The Aces got a big at-bat from third baseman Humberto Castano. For the game, Castano went 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 17th double of the season gave Quebec a 3-2 lead.
Castano said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
