Spokane got a terrific game from second baseman David Anast. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Westwood, 4-1. Anast was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Chris Bruhl picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-0. Hugo Reyes was tagged with the loss. Jeff Adams notched his 5th save in 10 chances.

Alec Pavelka helped out the Westwood cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

"It never gets old," said Pavelka. "Winning, that is."

Westwood is now 60-57. Spokane is 65-52.
