Werewolves Suffer One-Run Loss at Mexico City
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Mexico City Aztecs got the win.

The Mexico City Aztecs withstood an impressive performance by London designated hitter Mike Chaloux to defeat the Werewolves, 4-3, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Chaloux went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. The first-place Aztecs have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

The Werewolves had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Aztecs going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old catcher Rod Samarripa came to the plate. Samarripa hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 fastball from London hurler Jamari Walker. It was Samarripa's 12th double of the year.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Samarripa.
