Widowmakers center fielder Jason Eaton left his mark on his team's 7-3 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm. Eaton, who is tied for 9th in the S-A with a .858 OPS, went 4-5 with 3 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Weedpatch in the contest. The winning pitcher was Moises Tellez. His record now stands at 8-8. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits for the Widowmakers. The setback makes Lake Elsinore 39-88.
Weedpatch left fielder Dale Day contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 53rd hit of the season and put the Widowmakers ahead, 4-1.
