Jack Ficca made an impact in the 5-4 Long Beach win over London. Ficca, who is tied for 5th in the S-A in stolen bases with 23, went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Josh DeYoe, now 5-8, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The win puts Long Beach at 44-79.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Long Beach. That's when Bobby Chaney hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
