Oaks Squelch Raccoons Offense in Shutout Win
Orono got a first-rate effort from pitcher Josh Shropshire, who frustrated Tucson hitters en route to a 3-0 Oaks triumph at Raccoons Ballpark. Shropshire, now 10-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Tucson's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Julio Negron came through with a big-time hit for Orono. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
