Werewolves Prevail, 3-2, Over White Deer
|
London and White Deer played a hard-fought contest.
The White Deer Tropics were defeated, 3-2, by the London Werewolves at Ballpark of White Deer, even though Willie Gonzales pitched well for White Deer. The winning pitcher was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jamari Walker. He tossed 100 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits.
The Werewolves got a big at-bat from third baseman Max Guerrero. For the game, Guerrero was 1-3 with a triple. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave London a 1-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said White Deer manager Gabriel Gonzalez. "But we'll learn from it."
The 4th-place Tropics have lost 4 consecutive games.
