In a low-scoring game between Mexico City and Dollywood, pitcher Roy McLain was excellent. The Mexico City left-hander helped his team knock off the Partons, 3-0. Mexico City currently is in first place in the Southern A West Division at 76-31.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Aztecs had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Matthew Alexander hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Sean Hill and made the score 1-0, Aztecs. Alexander was 1-3.

"Roy did a heck of a job," said Mexico City manager Tony Velez.
