The Kalamazoo Comets got a sterling performance from pitcher Dale Kneale, but the Barrie Admirals still prevailed, 3-2. Kneale threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Barrie reliever Ryan Middaugh picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jordan Santiago was saddled with the loss. Barrie goes to 74-28. The win puts them 12½ games up in their division.

Andres Vega helped out the Barrie cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.

"The want-to is there for our guys," said Kalamazoo manager Malcolm Griffin. "We'll get this thing turned around."
