Mexico City Aztecs starter Roy McLain turned in a top-notch performance against the Lake Elsinore Storm at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The result was a win for the Aztecs, 3-2. The win for the Aztecs raised their record to 67-30.

Phil Anselm was the walk-off hero for Mexico City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Anselm.
