Purple Wave Get Thrilling 7-6 Win
The New Rochelle Purple Wave in 10 innings downed the Ann Arbor Z's, 7-6, at Knights Ballpark. Jeff Mullinax led the way, going 3-for-5 for New Rochelle. The win went to Marcos Rosas in relief, making him now 3-0. Jim Unknown took the loss for Ann Arbor. With the win, New Rochelle pushed its record to 60-35.

New Rochelle used the hitting of Eduardo Lopez to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Purple Wave on top, 7-6. For the game, Lopez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Lopez told the New Rochelle Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
