London Stymied by Barrie, 2-1
|
Barrie used a superb performance from starting pitcher Joaquin Santiago to down the London Werewolves, 2-1. Victor Martinez finished the game for Barrie and earned his 7th save. The Admirals go to 52-36, putting them second in the Southern A West Division.
Making an impact for the home team was Nate Raphael. In the bottom of the second, the 23-year old first baseman had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Admirals.
"I like the roll we're on," said Barrie manager Manny Uset.
