Sweepers Knock Off Tropics at Miller Park
The Nashua Sweepers beat the White Deer Tropics by a score of 8-3. Nashua center fielder Braxton Morris deserved the lion's share of the credit. Morris went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Sweepers. The win was credited to Raul Sauceda in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Dave Crumpacker took the loss. The triumph puts Nashua at 46-40 for the season.

In the bottom of the third, Morris had a grand slam home run for Nashua. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Sweepers on top, 7-3.

"We maximized our offense today," said Nashua skipper Tony Allen. "That makes everyone's life easier."
