The White Deer Tropics went home winners at Miller Park, thanks in large part to starter Tyler Layne. Layne stifled the Nashua Sweepers, enabling White Deer to grab the 4-1 win. The save went to Marco Canas, his 3rd this season. At 38-46, the Tropics are currently 4th in the Southern A West Division.

White Deer relied on the hitting of Ben Parks to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tropics on top, 3-1. For the game, Parks had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Parks told the White Deer Gazette.
