Tropics Pick Up 4-3 Win Against London
The White Deer Tropics cut down the London Werewolves by the score of 4-3, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Preston Hoffman. Hoffman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Tropics. Mike Gentry was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Picking up the save was Carlos Calderon, his 3rd.

White Deer used a well-timed hit by Danny Solis to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Tropics ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
