The Mexico City Aztecs thumped the White Deer Tropics, 14-0, at Ballpark of White Deer. Brent Mallinson was a big reason his team got the win. Mallinson slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Marco Montes, who leads the S-A with a 2.10 ERA, was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was Steve Greene. The Southern A West Division-leading Aztecs have a record of 63-20.

With Mexico City leading 5-0 in the top of the fourth, Mallinson came up to bat against White Deer pitcher Steve Greene. Mallinson hit a fastball to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Aztecs on top, 9-0.

"Brent showed up tonight," said Mexico City manager Chris Hallman.
