The Kalamazoo Comets had to overcome a fine effort from White Deer pitcher Steve Greene to win, 2-1, at Wizards Stadium. Greene went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. With this game in the books, Kalamazoo is 30-49, White Deer 36-43.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Kalamazoo left fielder Andy Jacobi, facing Dustin Mitchell, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Comets the 2-1 win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Jacobi said.
