Aztecs Get One-Run Win at Dollywood
Dolly Parton Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Dollywood Partons and Mexico City Aztecs.

The Mexico City Aztecs claimed a close win over the Dollywood Partons, due in large part to Mel Mercado. The Mexico City right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Mercado, now 8-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

Steve Farnsworth helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Aztecs.

"Tough loss," said Dollywood manager Adam Freeman. "Tough one to swallow."

The first-place Aztecs sport a record of 52-22.
