The Bangor Lumberjacks clipped the White Deer Tropics, 6-5, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Bangor. The standout performance belonged to Bangor pitcher and Egypt Lake-Leto, Florida, native Pat Furphy. The winner was Matthew Tapscott in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Marco Canas took the loss. Bangor sits in 5th place in the Southern A East Division at 35-39.

The Lumberjacks got a clutch hit from first baseman Guy Dewey. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lumberjacks.

"That was a lot of fun, watching both teams compete," said Lumberjacks manager Shawn Banks.
