The White Deer Tropics had their hands full with Dollywood Partons starter Gilberto Cortez, who frustrated White Deer hitters while leading Dollywood to a comfortable, 6-1 win. The victory gives Dollywood a record of 53-15.

Dollywood relied on the bat of Colby Freese to get the win. The first baseman produced a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Partons ahead, 2-1. For the game, Freese had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We had a nice day," said Dollywood skipper Adam Freeman.
