Storm Slap 8-2 Loss on Mexico City
The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the Mexico City Aztecs, 8-2, in Southern A action at Dust Devils Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lake Elsinore shortstop Jamie Hickey. Lake Elsinore reliever Jesus Garcia picked up the win, upping his record to 1-9. Miguel Rodriguez took the loss. John Richardson, who is tied for 6th in the S-A in innings pitched with 76.0, nailed down the save.

The Storm got a big hit from third baseman Nick Kujawa. In the bottom of the sixth, Kujawa smacked a 3-run home run off Mexico City pitcher Miguel Rodriguez. It was his 10th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Storm were ahead, 4-2.

Said losing manager Tony Velez: "At the end of the day, we've got to play better."

The triumph makes Lake Elsinore 13-50.
