Mexico City Aztecs pitcher Miguel Rodriguez was in fine form, leading his team past the Barrie Admirals, 2-1. Rodriguez got the win, improving to 5-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ken Griffey picked up the save, his 12th.
Steve Farnsworth, who is tied for 10th in the S-A with a .600 slugging percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. Farnsworth contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Mexico City up, 2-0.
