The Kalamazoo Comets faced a tough opponent in London pitcher Erik Dieckman, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Werewolves Ballpark by a final score of 6-5. Dieckman went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. At 14-39, the Comets claim last place in the Southern A East Division.

Nick Nicholson chipped in for Kalamazoo, stroking a crucial 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Nicholson. "But I have better dreams after a win."
