Davis Leads Sweepers to 8-7 Win Over Aztecs
Nashua designated hitter Ray Davis picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Mexico City Aztecs, 8-7. Mark Williams snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Ken Griffey suffered the loss. Glen Foster nailed down his 8th save.

Nashua used the timely hitting of Malcolm McKechnie to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sweepers on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is always a team effort," Davis said after the game.

The loss makes Mexico City 33-13.
