Due in large part to left fielder Tony Thomas, the Weedpatch Widowmakers sunk the Lake Elsinore Storm, 6-3. Thomas went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Picking up the win was Bill Flores. With Weedpatch leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Thomas hit a fastball from Jim Unknown for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Widowmakers ahead, 5-3.
