Mexico City Hot Streak Continues with 6-5 Win
Mexico City beat Barrie at Tony Gwynn Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Arturo Guevara. He went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. Ken Griffey picked up his 5th save of the season. Mexico City is now 17-7.

Mexico City took a 6-5 lead on Jeff Ciervo's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ciervo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Barrie pitcher Jesus Martinez visibly frustrated.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Guevara told the Mexico City Chronicle."The dugout is coming alive."
