Bowsers Pull Off Thrilling 11-6 Win in Extras
The Columbus Bowsers beat the London Werewolves, 11-6 -- though it took them 11 innings. Columbus designated hitter Xavier Brandon had a pretty good game. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The win went to Allen Ellingson in relief. His record improves to 1-0. D.J. Nelson took the loss. London falls to 7-3.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Brandon delivered big-time for Columbus, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off D.J. Nelson. The game-changing hit put the Bowsers on top, 7-6.

"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Brandon.
