Lumberjacks Squeeze By White Deer, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Bangor Lumberjacks and the White Deer Tropics, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tom Donnelly proved to be the difference. The Bangor right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Lumberjacks win. White Deer is 4-3 after the defeat.
Bangor took a 3-2 lead on Juan Jasso's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jasso hit in the bottom of the eighth, left White Deer pitcher Alex Balladares visibly frustrated.
"Bottom line," said White Deer skipper Brendan Rees, "we didn't play well enough to win."
