The Pueblo Heroes picked up a win at Heroes Ballpark, knocking off the London Werewolves, 9-3. Starting pitcher Bobby Lucero was a big reason why. Lucero, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Carlos Abreu earned the save, his 1st, for the Heroes.

Jose Raygoza had a big grand slam home run for the Heroes in the bottom of the first inning. With Pueblo leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Orlando Mijares and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heroes ahead, 6-0.

"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Raygoza.

London, with the loss, is still a hardy 4-1.
