The Walnut Park Bobcats could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Kyle Sandor into a win. Instead, the Quebec Aces prevailed, 5-4. Sandor threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. With the win, Quebec has a record of 20-23. Walnut Park falls to 25-18.

The Aces were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 27-year old second baseman Joe West landed a big blow. He turned a 0-2 forkball from Nick Turpen into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Belmont Park denizens into a frenzy and sent the Aces home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," West told the Quebec Observer.
