Prairie Thunder Walk It Off for 24th Win of Season
Ann Arbor got a valiant performance from pitcher Jeff Mitchell, but it wasn't enough to beat the Randolph Prairie Thunder. Randolph won the game, 3-1. Mitchell threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The winner was Dan Toigo in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jody Piccinini took the loss. Randolph has now won 3 straight, while the Z's have lost 3 in a row.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Randolph trailing 1-0, Matt Doughty jumped on a 1-1 fastball from Jody Piccinini for a 3-run home run, sending the Prairie Thunder to a walk-off win.

Doughty said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
