Prairie Thunder Nip Pilots, 3-2

The Randolph Prairie Thunder topped the Denver Pilots, 3-2, in Stripes Conference action at Pilots Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Randolph pitcher and Hicksville, New York, native Dustin Robinson. The save was credited to Dan Toigo, his 9th. Randolph is now 21-11, while Denver is 14-18.
Randolph used the timely hitting of Matt Doughty to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Prairie Thunder ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Robinson.
