The New Rochelle Purple Wave trumped the Westwood Bruins, 6-2, at Ballpark of Lexington. New Rochelle second baseman Noel Cusack was terrific. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Bruins fall to 10-13 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Making an impact for New Rochelle was first baseman Luis Munoz. Spitfire drilled a run-scoring double off Shawn McMurtry in the bottom of the third. For the game, Munoz went 1 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Purple Wave manager Zach Freeman.
