New Rochelle designated hitter Noel Cusack made his presence felt in the 5-2 Purple Wave triumph over the Spokane Selects. Cusack was 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Spokane drops to 10-10.

New Rochelle took a 4-2 lead on Dusty Ward's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ward hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Spokane pitcher Mark Burkhart shaking his head.
