The Quebec Aces picked up a win at Belmont Park, knocking off the Westwood Bruins, 6-5. Starting pitcher Sean Torkelson played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Torkelson, now 1-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Steve Bueno nailed down his 3rd save.

The Aces got a big at-bat from left fielder Dan Brewer. For the game, Brewer went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Quebec a 5-4 lead.

"It was a solid team effort," said Brewer after the game.

With the loss, Westwood is 6-7.
