Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Mad Ants
2020 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Montreal Canadiens.

The Portland Mad Ants topped the Montreal Canadiens, 7-3, in Stars Conference action at Mad Ants Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Portland pitcher Andy Baker. With the win, the Mad Ants improved to 73-67.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Pat Kirchner came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Montreal pitcher Rob Lira, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Portland on top, 4-3.

Baker attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
