Flowers hits 2 home runs in Matadors Win
Chris Flowers knocked in 5 runs to help Hartford beat Montreal, 10-5. The Willowbrook, California native tallied 1 single and 2 home runs. Vinny Padilla, the winner, improved to 9-5. He held Montreal to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The 5th-place Matadors now have a record of 70-70.

Flowers had a big hit for Hartford with one out in the bottom of the fourth. With Hartford leading 4-0, Flowers hit a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Matadors up, 7-0.
