Kevin Kovach pitched a gem to lead Portland to victory over the Nashville Lasers, 5-0. The Mad Ants improved to 77-60.

The Mad Ants got an important contribution from third baseman Morgan Vitulli, who in the top of the fourth knocked a 0-1 fastball to right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Mad Ants ahead, 2-0.

"I really like what we did out there today," Vitulli said after the game.
