Alcantara Leads Governors to 8-4 Win Over Lasers
|
Little Rock center fielder Juan Alcantara had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Nashville Lasers, 8-4. Josh Monroe, the winning pitcher, improved to 8-10. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. With the win, Little Rock raised its record to 76-58.
With Little Rock leading 3-2 in the top of the second, Alcantara hit a sinker from Sean Middleton for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Governors ahead, 6-2.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Alcantara.
