The Montreal Royals racked up a win at Turtles Ballpark, bumping off the Montreal Canadiens, 6-2. Alex Gomez, who started for Montreal, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Montreal upped its record to 70-62.
Angel Lujan had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth for Montreal. With the bases loaded and the Royals leading 3-2, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"I thought Alex threw the ball well across the board," said Montreal manager Bobby White.
