3-2 Loss to Governors Extends Montreal Losing Streak
Starting pitcher Josh Monroe gave the Little Rock Governors a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, at Ballpark of Newport News. Steve Cates recorded the save for Little Rock, his 23rd of the season. The Canadiens have now dropped 6 straight.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Governors had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Chris Denney hit a 2-run single. The single came off Greg Savidge and made the score 2-0, Governors. Denney went 1 for 3. He drove in 2 runs.

"Josh's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Little Rock manager Felipe Arriaga.
