The Montreal Royals and Chesapeake Tailgators completed their game despite the rain.

Montreal Royals starter Mark Stuart pitched a strong game against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Turtles Ballpark, leading the Royals to victory, 5-4. Montreal reliever Brad Murphy picked up the win to move to 3-1. Bobby Dwyer suffered the loss.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Montreal trailing 4-3, Brian Hendrix delivered the decisive blow, stroking a fastball from Bobby Dwyer for a 2-run double. Ballgame.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Hendrix.

The defeat makes Chesapeake 54-74.
