Muskies Earn Win with Late Rally
Glendale beat Portland at Mad Ants Ballpark, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to second baseman Kyle McKinney. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Nick Chinn was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was George Robertson. The 4th-place Muskies have a record of 59-63.

Glendale used the timely hitting of Jamie Tripp to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Muskies on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Portland manager Efren Nieman.
