Salas Leads Royals to Win
|
The Montreal Royals turned back the Glendale Muskies, 5-4, at Turtles Ballpark. Sam Salas, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Montreal is now 66-56, Glendale 62-60.
Had Salas not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Salas hit a 3-run home run. The Royals took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.
Montreal manager Bobby White commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
