Tailgators Edge Past Royals, 2-1

Fans watched the Chesapeake Tailgators and the Montreal Royals fight to the finish.
The Chesapeake Tailgators got a stellar effort from pitcher Dylan Bibbs, helping Chesapeake score a win over the visiting Montreal Royals, 2-1. Mike Criswell, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 2.
Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 28-year old shortstop David Dare had a real shot to win the game. Montreal pitcher Joe Hewson was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Dare hit a run-scoring single. The Tailgators had a walk-off triumph.
"I thought Dylan threw the ball well across the board," said Chesapeake manager Dave York.
Chesapeake has run its win streak to 5 straight.
