Montreal Gets Another L
|
The Chesapeake Tailgators topped the Montreal Canadiens, 8-0, in Stars Conference action at Oilers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chesapeake pitcher Jesse Tuuri. The Canadiens, now 29-81, have lost 6 straight.
Chesapeake used a clutch at-bat from Chris Dellinger to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Tailgators ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Tuuri told a Chesapeake Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
