Tailgators Lose at Home, 7-2
|
Little Rock right-hander Brian Norfolk pitched his team to victory over the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark. The final score was 7-2. The winning pitcher was Norfolk, now 6-11. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. With the win, Little Rock pushed its record to 51-47.
Little Rock used a clutch at-bat from Alain Arnaud to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Governors ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Enjoyed this one," Arnaud told the Little Rock Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
