The Chesapeake Tailgators picked up a win at Tailgators Ballpark, courtesy of Jim Wallace. The right-hander helped his team stop the Montreal Royals, 2-0. Chesapeake, now 35-61, holds down last place in the Stars Conference East Division.

Wallace allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings for the Tailgators. With the win, he is 4-1 with an ERA of 2.47.

Afterward, Tailgators manager Dave York was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
