Lasers Popped by Royals, 6-0
|
The first-place Montreal Royals took on the Nashville Lasers in front of a spirited crowd.
George Wilson, who is tied for 7th in the SC in wins with 9, imposed his will on the Lasers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the left-hander spearheaded the 6-0 Montreal triumph. Montreal goes to 57-38. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
The Royals picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Wilson.
