Kettle, Canadiens Too Much for Marshals
The Montreal Canadiens powered past the Baxter Springs Marshals, 11-4, at Marshals Ballpark. Steve Kettle went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Reliever Jerry Cirulli picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Daniel Gilles took the loss. The Canadiens now have a record of 34-61.

Chris Stoll came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The shortstop smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 8-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Kettle.
