The Little Rock Governors scooped up a win at Ballpark of Newport News, dumping the Lubbock Stampede, 1-0. Josh Monroe was essential to his team's success. Steve Cates was credited with the save for Little Rock, his 14th of the season. With the win, the Governors hiked their record to 47-46.

Monroe earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Little Rock. The native of New York, allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 7. Lubbock hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
