Quebec Aces starter Phil Dalton turned in an exceptional performance against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark, resulting in a Quebec win, 4-2. Dalton picked up the win for Quebec, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 9-3. Picking up his 11th save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Ceballos.
Quebec used a clutch at-bat from Chris Epstein to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aces ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Dalton.
With the win, Quebec pushed its record to 48-44.
